Yes, this is me trying on the Deadmau5 helmet. I have plotted the facial structures. I have pushlightsd and I traced them on the head to mark where it would be. The mouth? Well, I drew that by hand from reference XDXD More progression pictures coming soon!!

I used the paper mache method on a beach ball:
Flour
Water
& Salt if really needed (i put it in there anyway since its in the ingredients :p)

& LOADS of newspaper. Make 8-9 layers of the newspaper and paper mache mix. When you get to the last layer, make that layer out of regular white printer paper so it'll be like a canvas (well, because I'm painting mine XD)Then deflate the ball and pull it out and just cut where your head could fit through :)

None of those! Use the printer paper, plain white durable paper because it will hold stronger! :D

but my paper mache is already tight, I wanted a role for the final layer to facilitate the painting, this is good? 0u0

Thats what I'm saying, if you use printer paper, it will facilitate the painting part very well. Just sayin from experience. Using journal or notebook paper is ok, but I highly reccommend printer paper o3o

Thanks and yes a lot of progress is getting done :D This pic was taken quite a while ago but I was too lazy to post :\ Today, I got the mouth part cut out and its pretty awesome now but I couldnt snap pics because my camera died X( I also cut the ears out today and I'm sewing fabric together to make a pocket to slip the ears in. The only problem is, how will I attacth it to the head!? D8

Haha I had to look up who turnip head was :) Yeah it resembles him a lot, just add teeth :D
